Hand Carved Multi Jointed 7" T Wood Doll "Andy" by Josh Buffington Pal for Hitty

THIS LISTING IS FOR THE DOLL AND HIS CLOTHING. THE WOODEN BENCH IS NOT INCLUDED.
This listing is for a wonderful 7 inch wooden doll. He was hand carved from bass wood by Josh Buffington. On his back he is signed with the initials "JWB", numbered "2" and dated 2010. The doll was named "Andy" by his carver and he is a great companion doll for 6 1/2" Hitty. Andy is multi jointed. He is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. The joints at the shoulders and hips are tandem joints, meaning the arms move together and the legs move together. The joints at the elbows and knees operate independently. The jointing at the wrists is particularly interesting, with the doll's right hand jointed to move up and down at the wrist, while the doll's left hand is jointed to move from side to side at the wrist. This makes for interesting opportunities in posing the doll. Andy can hold different objects in various positions. Andy stands on his own and can sit with bent knees. Andy has been coated with Tung oil to bring out the beauty of the wood grain. He was painted with acrylic paints and then clear coated for lasting protection.
Andy will come dressed in dark blue denim overalls and a navy blue, yellow, and white window pane plaid shirt. Both of these items were hand made and are original to the doll. I have also included a pale blue denim shirt from one of my Only Hearts Club dolls. It is a bit snug on him but really brings out the beauty of his big blue eyes. Andy has soft brown hair and a complexion that just glows.
Andy is a wonderful little guy, so full of personality and charm. I feel very lucky to have had him in my doll family to keep the Hittys company these past several years. As always, it is hard to part with any of my dolls but it is time. My hope is that he will find a new someone to love and appreciate him as I do.
